ਇਕੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਇਕ ਧਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਰਖ ਉਪਾਏ ।

The water is one and the earth is also one but the flora is of variegated qualities.

ਅਫਲ ਸਫਲ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਬਹੁ ਫਲ ਫੁਲ ਸੁਹਾਏ ।

afal safal parakaar bahu fal ful suhaae |

Many are devoid of fruits and many are adorned with flowers and fruits.

ਬਹੁ ਰਸ ਰੰਗ ਸੁਵਾਸਨਾ ਪਰਕਿਰਤਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ।

bahu ras rang suvaasanaa parakirat subhaae |

They have diverse kinds of fragrance and by their many kinds of extracts they enhance the grandeur of Nature.

ਬੈਸੰਤਰੁ ਇਕੁ ਵਰਨ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਤਰਵਰ ਛਾਏ ।

baisantar ik varan hoe sabh taravar chhaae |

The same fire is there in all trees.

ਗੁਪਤਹੁ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਭਸਮੰਤ ਕਰਾਏ ।

gupatahu paragatt hoe kai bhasamant karaae |

That unmanifest fire becoming manifest reduces all to ashes.

ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ।੧੫।

aape aap varatadaa guramukh sukh paae |15|

Likewise, that (unmanifest) Lord resides in all and this very fact makes Gurmukhs full of delight.
