Jaitsree, Ninth Mehl: One Universal Creator God.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik oankaar satigur prasaad |

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਭੂਲਿਓ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਉਰਝਾਇਓ ॥

bhoolio man maaeaa urajhaaeo |

My mind is deluded, entangled in Maya.

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਰਮ ਕੀਓ ਲਾਲਚ ਲਗਿ ਤਿਹ ਤਿਹ ਆਪੁ ਬੰਧਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jo jo karam keeo laalach lag tih tih aap bandhaaeo |1| rahaau |

Whatever I do, while engaged in greed, only serves to bind me down. ||1||Pause||

ਸਮਝ ਨ ਪਰੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਰਸ ਰਚਿਓ ਜਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਬਿਸਰਾਇਓ ॥

samajh na paree bikhai ras rachio jas har ko bisaraaeo |

I have no understanding at all; I am engrossed in the pleasures of corruption, and I have forgotten the Praises of the Lord.

ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਨਾਹਿਨ ਬਨੁ ਖੋਜਨ ਕਉ ਧਾਇਓ ॥੧॥

sang suaamee so jaanio naahin ban khojan kau dhaaeo |1|

The Lord and Master is with me, but I do not know Him. Instead, I run into the forest, looking for Him. ||1||

ਰਤਨੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਘਟ ਹੀ ਕੇ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ॥

ratan raam ghatt hee ke bheetar taa ko giaan na paaeo |

The Jewel of the Lord is deep within my heart, but I do not have any knowledge of Him.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਭਜਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਓ ॥੨॥੧॥

jan naanak bhagavant bhajan bin birathaa janam gavaaeo |2|1|

O servant Nanak, without vibrating, meditating on the Lord God, human life is uselessly wasted and lost. ||2||1||
