Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਹੋਵਤ ਦਇਆਲੁ ॥

jis aoopar hovat deaal |

One who is blessed by the Lord's Mercy,

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਕਾਟੈ ਸੋ ਕਾਲੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

har simarat kaattai so kaal |1| rahaau |

passes his time in contemplative meditation. ||1||Pause||

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਭਜੀਐ ਗੋਪਾਲੁ ॥

saadhasang bhajeeai gopaal |

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate, and vibrate upon the Lord of the Universe.

ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਤੂਟੈ ਜਮ ਜਾਲੁ ॥੧॥

gun gaavat toottai jam jaal |1|

Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the noose of death is cut away. ||1||

ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥

aape satigur aape pratipaal |

He Himself is the True Guru, and He Himself is the Cherisher.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲ ॥੨॥੬॥੨੪॥

naanak jaachai saadh ravaal |2|6|24|

Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||2||6||24||
