ਭੂਲ ਪਠਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਹੀ ਆਯੋ ॥

bhool patthaan pratham hee aayo |

Forgetting the turn, one day the Pathan came in before anybody else.

ਪੁਨਿ ਸੈਯਦ ਮੁਖਿ ਆਨਿ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥

pun saiyad mukh aan dikhaayo |

Following him the Sayeed entered as well.

ਲੈ ਸੁ ਪਠਾਨ ਖਾਟ ਤਰ ਦੀਨੋ ॥

lai su patthaan khaatt tar deeno |

She made the Path an to hide under the bed

ਸੈਯਦਹਿ ਲਾਇ ਗਰੇ ਸੌ ਲੀਨੋ ॥੬॥

saiyadeh laae gare sau leeno |6|

And took Sayeed in an embrace.( 6)

ਸੇਖ ਸੈਯਦ ਕੇ ਪਾਛੇ ਆਯੋ ॥

sekh saiyad ke paachhe aayo |

Incidentally, immediately after the Sayeed the Sheikh walked in,

ਘਾਸ ਬਿਖੈ ਸੈਯਦਹਿ ਛਪਾਯੋ ॥

ghaas bikhai saiyadeh chhapaayo |

And she hid the Sayeed in hay.

ਤਬ ਲੌ ਮੁਗਲ ਆਇ ਹੀ ਗਯੋ ॥

tab lau mugal aae hee gayo |

The Mughal was not far off and seeing him

ਸੇਖਹਿ ਡਾਰਿ ਗੋਨਿ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਯੋ ॥੭॥

sekheh ddaar gon meh deeyo |7|

She entrapped the Sheikh in an hessian bag.(7)
