Dohira
ਜਾਇ ਬੂਟੈ ਤਬ ਬੈਠਿਯੋ ਲਈ ਕੁਪੀਨ ਉਠਾਇ ॥
jaae boottai tab baitthiyo lee kupeen utthaae |
Undoing his lion-cloth he postured to relieve himself.
ਡਲਾ ਭਏ ਪੌਛਨ ਲਗਿਯੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਚਮਰੁ ਤੂ ਤਾਹਿ ॥੨੫॥
ddalaa bhe pauachhan lagiyo kahiyo chamar too taeh |25|
As soon as he picked up and used a stone (to wipe off), he (Shah’s Son), pronounced, ‘get stuck.’
ਹਾਥ ਲਗੋਟੀ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ ਡਲਾ ਫਸਿਯੋ ਬੁਰਿ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
haath lagottee reh gee ddalaa fasiyo bur maeh |
The corner of the lion-cloth remained in his (barber’s son’s) hand
ਚਰਨ ਝਾਰ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਰਸੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨੬॥
charan jhaar ke sang rase taeh rahee sudh naeh |26|
And the stone was stuck in his rectum His feet were clung in the rope and he lost all his consciousness.(26)
ਲਏ ਅਸ੍ਵਨੀ ਸਾਹੁ ਕੋ ਪੂਤ ਪਹੂੰਚ︀ਯੋ ਆਇ ॥
le asvanee saahu ko poot pahoonchayo aae |
When the Shah’s son brought hakim on a mare,
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਬੈਦ ਮੈ ਕ︀ਯਾ ਕਰੋਂ ਇਹ ਦੁਖ ਕੋ ਸੁ ਉਪਾਇ ॥੨੭॥
kahiyo baid mai kayaa karon ih dukh ko su upaae |27|
He asked, ‘Oh, hakim, how can I remedy this adversity.’(27)
