Dayv-Gandhaaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਮ ਕਉ ਮਨੁ ਆਛੈ ॥

darasan naam kau man aachhai |

My mind longs for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, and His Name.

ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਆਇਓ ਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਥਾਨ ਰੇ ਆਹਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਸੰਤ ਪਾਛੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhram aaeo hai sagal thaan re aaeh pario sant paachhai |1| rahaau |

I have wandered everywhere, and now I have come to follow the Saint. ||1||Pause||

ਕਿਸੁ ਹਉ ਸੇਵੀ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਰਾਧੀ ਜੋ ਦਿਸਟੈ ਸੋ ਗਾਛੈ ॥

kis hau sevee kis aaraadhee jo disattai so gaachhai |

Whom should I serve? Whom should I worship in adoration? Whoever I see shall pass away.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਨੀ ਪਰੀਐ ਚਰਣ ਰੇਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਬਾਛੈ ॥੧॥

saadhasangat kee saranee pareeai charan ren man baachhai |1|

I have sought the Sanctuary of the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; my mind longs for the dust of their Feet. ||1||

ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਗੁਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਮਹਾ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਮਾਇ ਆਛੈ ॥

jugat na jaanaa gun nahee koee mahaa dutar maae aachhai |

I do not know the way, and I have no virtue. It is so difficult to escape from Maya!

ਆਇ ਪਇਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਤਉ ਉਤਰੀ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਰਾਛੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੮॥

aae peo naanak gur charanee tau utaree sagal duraachhai |2|2|28|

Nanak has come and fallen at the Guru's feet; all of his evil inclinations have vanished. ||2||2||28||
