ਧਰਤੀ ਬੀਉ ਬੀਜਾਇ ਸਹਸ ਫਲਾਇਆ ।

dharatee beeo beejaae sehas falaaeaa |

As the seed puts in the earth gives fruit thousand times more.

ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਵਾਇ ਨ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਾਇਆ ।

gurasikh mukh pavaae na lekh likhaaeaa |

The food put in the mouth of a gurmukh multiplies infinitely and its count becomes impossible.

ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇਇ ਫਲਾਇ ਜੋਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ।

dharatee dee falaae joee fal paaeaa |

The earth gives the fruit of the seed sowed in it;

ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮੁਖਿ ਸਮਾਇ ਸਭ ਫਲ ਲਾਇਆ ।

gurasikh mukh samaae sabh fal laaeaa |

But the seed it offered to Guru oriented ones gives all sorts of fruits.

ਬੀਜੇ ਬਾਝੁ ਨ ਖਾਇ ਨ ਧਰਤਿ ਜਮਾਇਆ ।

beeje baajh na khaae na dharat jamaaeaa |

Without sowing, neither anyone could eat anything nor the earth can produce anything;

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਵਸਾਇ ਇਛਿ ਪੁਜਾਇਆ ।੨੦।੧੪। ਚਉਦਾਂ ।
