ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਫਲੁ ਘਣਾ ਕਿਨਿ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਹੋਈ ।

gur sevaa daa fal ghanaa kin keemat hoee |

Immense is the fruit of the service to the Guru; who can understand its worth.

ਰੰਗੁ ਸੁਰੰਗੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਹੈ ਵੇਖਾਲੇ ਸੋਈ ।

rang surang acharaj hai vekhaale soee |

From among the wondrous shades (of life) it makes one see the most wonderful one.

ਸਾਦੁ ਵਡਾ ਵਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਹੈ ਰਸੁ ਗੁੰਗੇ ਗੋਈ ।

saad vaddaa visamaad hai ras gunge goee |

The taste of the service is as awesome as the sweet is to the dumb person.

ਉਤਭੁਜ ਵਾਸੁ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਕਰਿ ਚਲਤੁ ਸਮੋਈ ।

autabhuj vaas nivaas hai kar chalat samoee |

It is a great feat (of God) that the fragrance is there in the trees.

ਤੋਲੁ ਅਤੋਲੁ ਅਮੋਲੁ ਹੈ ਜਰੈ ਅਜਰੁ ਕੋਈ ।

tol atol amol hai jarai ajar koee |

The service is invaluable and incomparable; any rare endures this unendurable faculty.

ਪੀਰ ਮੁਰੀਦਾਂ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਾਣੋਈ ।੨੦।
