ਏਕ ਦਿਵਸ ਕੇਵਲ ਗਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਕੌਨੇ ਕਾਜ ॥

ek divas keval gayo grih ko kauane kaaj |

Once, Kewal came to his house for some errand,

ਦੇਖੈ ਕ︀ਯਾ ਨਿਜੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭਏ ਬਾਕੋ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਬਿਰਾਜ ॥੩॥

dekhai kayaa nij triy bhe baako rahiyo biraaj |3|
