ਮਤਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ॥

mat pooree amrit jaa kee drisatt |

His wisdom is perfect, and His Glance is Ambrosial.

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖਤ ਉਧਰਤ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ॥

darasan pekhat udharat srisatt |

Beholding His Vision, the universe is saved.

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਅਨੂਪ ॥

charan kamal jaa ke anoop |

His Lotus Feet are incomparably beautiful.

ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹਰਿ ਰੂਪ ॥

safal darasan sundar har roop |

The Blessed Vision of His Darshan is fruitful and rewarding; His Lordly Form is beautiful.

ਧੰਨੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥

dhan sevaa sevak paravaan |

Blessed is His service; His servant is famous.

ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨੁ ॥

antarajaamee purakh pradhaan |

The Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, is the most exalted Supreme Being.

ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਬਸੈ ਸੁ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ॥

jis man basai su hot nihaal |

That one, within whose mind He abides, is blissfully happy.

ਤਾ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਤ ਕਾਲੁ ॥

taa kai nikatt na aavat kaal |

Death does not draw near him.

ਅਮਰ ਭਏ ਅਮਰਾ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

amar bhe amaraa pad paaeaa |

One becomes immortal, and obtains the immortal status,

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੮॥੨੨॥

saadhasang naanak har dhiaaeaa |8|22|

meditating on the Lord, O Nanak, in the Company of the Holy. ||8||22||
