ਜਬ ਵਹੁ ਤਾਕੀ ਛੋਰਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਨਿਰਖੈ ਨੈਨ ਪਸਾਰਿ ॥

jab vahu taakee chhor triy nirakhai nain pasaar |

‘When, through the open window, she sees you with eyes wide open,

ਤਬ ਤੁਮ ਅਪਨੇ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਖੈ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਚਰਿਤ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥੧੨॥

tab tum apane chit bikhai leejahu charit bichaar |12|

‘You, then, determine in your mind to judge her conduct.’(12)

ਤਹਾ ਠਾਢ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਕਿਯਾ ਆਪੁ ਗਈ ਤਿਹ ਪਾਸ ॥

tahaa tthaadt taa kau kiyaa aap gee tih paas |

Leaving him there, she went to his wife and said,

ਮੋ ਪਤਿ ਆਯੋ ਦੇਖਿਯੈ ਚਿਤ ਕੋ ਛੋਰਿ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸ ॥੧੩॥

mo pat aayo dekhiyai chit ko chhor bisvaas |13|

‘My husband has come, you can see him to your entire satisfaction.’(13)
