ਦੁਤਿਯ ਪਿਟਾਰ ਮਿਠਾਈ ਡਾਰੀ ॥

dutiy pittaar mitthaaee ddaaree |

ਵਹ ਪਿਟਾਰ ਨਹਿ ਦੇਤ ਦਿਖਾਰੀ ॥

veh pittaar neh det dikhaaree |

‘The second basket in which she had put sweetmeats, nothing else was visible.

ਸਭ ਕੋ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਿਰੀਨੀ ਆਵੈ ॥

sabh ko drisatt sireenee aavai |

ਤਾ ਕੋ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਕੋਉ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧੧॥

taa ko bhed na koau paavai |11|

Every body thought it was full of sweetmeats and no body knew the secret.(11)

ਪਠੇ ਚੇਰਿ ਯਹ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥

patthe cher yeh nripat bulaayo |

ਗਹਿ ਬਹਿਯਾ ਸਭ ਸਦਨ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥

geh bahiyaa sabh sadan dikhaayo |

Now she sent a maid to call Raja. Leading him, she took him around the whole household (and said),

ਹਮ ਕਾ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਨੈਕ ਨ ਡਰਿ ਹੈ ॥

ham kaa tum te naik na ddar hai |

ਬਿਨੁ ਤਵ ਕਹੇ ਸਗਾਈ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ॥੧੨॥

bin tav kahe sagaaee kar hai |12|

‘Aren’t we afraid of you? How could we arrange their engagement without your consent?’(12)
