Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਨਿਕ ਬੀਂਗ ਦਾਸ ਕੇ ਪਰਹਰਿਆ ॥

anik beeng daas ke parahariaa |

God covers the many shortcomings of His slaves.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕਰਿਆ ॥੧॥

kar kirapaa prabh apanaa kariaa |1|

Granting His Mercy, God makes them His own. ||1||

ਤੁਮਹਿ ਛਡਾਇ ਲੀਓ ਜਨੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥

tumeh chhaddaae leeo jan apanaa |

You emancipate Your humble servant,

ਉਰਝਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਜਾਲੁ ਜਗੁ ਸੁਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

aurajh pario jaal jag supanaa |1| rahaau |

and rescue him from the noose of the world, which is just a dream. ||1||Pause||

ਪਰਬਤ ਦੋਖ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਕਰਾਲਾ ॥

parabat dokh mahaa bikaraalaa |

Even huge mountains of sin and corruption

ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕੀਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੨॥

khin meh door kee deaalaa |2|

are removed in an instant by the Merciful Lord. ||2||

ਸੋਗ ਰੋਗ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰੀ ॥

sog rog bipat at bhaaree |

Sorrow, disease and the most terrible calamities

ਦੂਰਿ ਭਈ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੩॥

door bhee jap naam muraaree |3|

are removed by meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||3||

ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਲੀਨੋ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥

drisatt dhaar leeno larr laae |

Bestowing His Glance of Grace, He attaches us to the hem of His robe.

ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਗਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੨੮॥

har charan gahe naanak saranaae |4|22|28|

Grasping the Lord's Feet, O Nanak, we enter His Sanctuary. ||4||22||28||
