ਦੁਖੀਆ ਦੁਸਟੁ ਦੁਬਾਜਰਾ ਬਗੁਲ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਰਹੈ ਇਕ ਟੰਗਾ ।

dukheea dusatt dubaajaraa bagul samaadh rahai ik ttangaa |

An evil and dual-minded person suffers like the crane standing on one leg.

ਬਜਰ ਪਾਪ ਨ ਉਤਰਨਿ ਘੁਟਿ ਘੁਟਿ ਜੀਆਂ ਖਾਇ ਵਿਚਿ ਗੰਗਾ ।

bajar paap na utaran ghutt ghutt jeean khaae vich gangaa |

Standing in Ganges, it strangulates creatures to eat them and its sins are never washed out.

ਤੀਰਥ ਨਾਵੈ ਤੂੰਬੜੀ ਤਰਿ ਤਰਿ ਤਨੁ ਧੋਵੈ ਕਰਿ ਨੰਗਾ ।

teerath naavai toonbarree tar tar tan dhovai kar nangaa |

Colocynth may swim naked and bath at one pilgrimage centre after another,

ਮਨ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਸੈ ਕਾਲਕੂਟੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਕਰਮੁ ਕੁਢੰਗਾ ।

man vich vasai kaalakoott bharam na utarai karam kudtangaa |

But its action are so crooked that the poison in its heart never goes.

ਵਰਮੀ ਮਾਰੀ ਨਾ ਮਰੈ ਬੈਠਾ ਜਾਇ ਪਤਾਲਿ ਭੁਇਅੰਗਾ ।

varamee maaree naa marai baitthaa jaae pataal bhueiangaa |

Beating the hole of a snake does not kill it, for it remains (safe) in the nether world.

ਹਸਤੀ ਨੀਰਿ ਨਵਾਲੀਐ ਨਿਕਲਿ ਖੇਹ ਉਡਾਏ ਅੰਗਾ ।

hasatee neer navaaleeai nikal kheh uddaae angaa |

The elephant coming out of water after a bath, again blows dust around its limbs.

ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ ਸੁਆਓ ਨ ਚੰਗਾ ।੧੪।

doojaa bhaau suaao na changaa |14|

The sense of duality is not at all a good sense.
