ROOAAL STANZA

ਲਾਲ ਹੀਰਨ ਕੇ ਧਰੇ ਜਿਹ ਸੀਸ ਪੈ ਬਹੁ ਹਾਰ ॥

laal heeran ke dhare jih sees pai bahu haar |

He, who is wearing the handsome necklaces of rubies and diamonds

ਸ੍ਵਰਣੀ ਕਿੰਕਣਿ ਸੌ ਛਕ ਗਜ ਰਾਜ ਪਬਾਕਾਰ ॥

svaranee kinkan sau chhak gaj raaj pabaakaar |

Whose large-sized elephant is wearing very cleanly the golden chain

ਦੁਰਦ ਰੂੜ ਦਰਿਦ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਸੁ ਬੀਰ ਹੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਭੂਪ ॥

durad roorr daridr naam su beer hai sun bhoop |

O king! the warrior mounting the elephant is named Daridra (lethargy)

ਕਉਨ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਜੀਤ ਹੈ ਰਣ ਆਨਿ ਰਾਜ ਸਰੂਪ ॥੨੦੨॥

kaun taa te jeet hai ran aan raaj saroop |202|

Who will be able to fight with him in the war?202.

ਜਰਕਸੀ ਕੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਅਰੁ ਪਰਮ ਬਾਜਾਰੂੜ ॥

jarakasee ke basatr hai ar param baajaaroorr |

ਪਰਮ ਰੂਪ ਪਵਿਤਰ ਗਾਤ ਅਛਿਜ ਰੂਪ ਅਗੂੜ ॥

param roop pavitar gaat achhij roop agoorr |

He, who is wearing the garments of brocade and is riding on the horse, his beauty is eternal

ਛਤ੍ਰ ਧਰਮ ਧਰੇ ਮਹਾ ਭਟ ਬੰਸ ਕੀ ਜਿਹ ਲਾਜ ॥

chhatr dharam dhare mahaa bhatt bans kee jih laaj |

He has the canopy of Dharma on his head and is famous for the tradition and honour of his clan

ਸੰਕ ਨਾਮਾ ਸੂਰ ਸੋ ਸਬ ਸੂਰ ਹੈ ਸਿਰਤਾਜ ॥੨੦੩॥

sank naamaa soor so sab soor hai sirataaj |203|

The name of this warrior is Shanka (doubt) and he is the chief of all the warriors.203.

ਪਿੰਗ ਬਾਜ ਨਹੇ ਰਥੈ ਸਹਿ ਅਡਿਗ ਬੀਰ ਅਖੰਡ ॥

ping baaj nahe rathai seh addig beer akhandd |

This rider of the brown horse is the unfailing and complete warrior

ਅੰਤ ਰੂਪ ਧਰੇ ਮਨੋ ਅਛਿਜ ਗਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ॥

ant roop dhare mano achhij gaat prachandd |

He has assumed a powerful form and his indestructible body is like doomsday

ਨਾਮ ਸੂਰ ਅਸੋਭ ਤਾ ਕਹ ਜਾਨਹੀ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ॥

naam soor asobh taa keh jaanahee sabh lok |

This warrior named Shaurai (gratification) is known by all people

ਕਉਨ ਰਾਵ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਹੈ ਜੁ ਨ ਮਾਨਿ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਸੋਕ ॥੨੦੪॥

kaun raav bibek hai ju na maan hai ih sok |204|

There is no such Vivek (knowledge), who will not be sorrowful on its dearth.204.
