ਦੈਤ ਹਨ︀ਯੋ ਚਤੁਰੰਗ ਚਮੂੰ ਸੁਨਿ ਦੇਵ ਕਰੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਬਡਾਈ ॥
dait hanayo chaturang chamoon sun dev karai mil kaanrah baddaaee |
Hearing about the destruction of the four-typed army of demons, the gods eulogised Krishna
ਭਛ ਸਭੈ ਫਲ ਗਵਾਰ ਚਲੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਧੂਰ ਪਰੀ ਮੁਖ ਪੈ ਛਬਿ ਛਾਈ ॥
bhachh sabhai fal gavaar chale grihi dhoor paree mukh pai chhab chhaaee |
All the gopa boys started back eating fruit and raising dust
ਤਾ ਛਬਿ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਕਬਿ ਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਇਮ ਭਾਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਈ ॥
taa chhab kee upamaa at hee kab ne mukh te im bhaakh sunaaee |
The poet has described that scene like this,
ਧਾਵਤ ਘੋਰਨ ਕੀ ਪਗ ਕੀ ਰਜ ਛਾਇ ਲਏ ਰਵਿ ਸੀ ਛਬਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੨੦੧॥
dhaavat ghoran kee pag kee raj chhaae le rav see chhab paaee |201|
That the dust raised by the hoofs of the horses reached the sun.201.
ਸੈਨ ਸਨੈ ਹਨਿ ਦੈਤ ਗਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਗੋਪ ਗਏ ਗੁਪੀਆ ਸਭ ਆਈ ॥
sain sanai han dait gayo grihi gop ge gupeea sabh aaee |
Destroying the demons alongwith the army, gopas, gopis and Krishna came back to their homes
ਮਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿ ਭਈ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਜੁ ਕਰੈ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਡਾਈ ॥
maat prasan bhee man mai tih kee ju karai bahu bhaat baddaaee |
The mothers were pleased and began to praise all in various ways
ਚਾਵਰ ਦੂਧ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਖਾਹਿਬੇ ਕਹੁ ਖਾਇ ਬਹੂ ਤਿਹ ਦੇਹ ਬਧਾਈ ॥
chaavar doodh kariyo khaahibe kahu khaae bahoo tih deh badhaaee |
All were getting strengthened by eating rice and milk
ਹੋਇ ਬਡੀ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਚੁਟੀਆ ਇਹ ਤੇ ਫੁਨਿ ਬਾਤ ਸਭੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਚਾਈ ॥੨੦੨॥
hoe baddee tumaree chutteea ih te fun baat sabhai mil chaaee |202|
The mothers said to the gopis, “In this way, the top-knots of all the people will become long and thick.”202.
ਭੋਜਨ ਕੈ ਟਿਕ ਗੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਪਲਕਾ ਪਰ ਅਉਰ ਕਰੈ ਜੁ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥
bhojan kai ttik ge har jee palakaa par aaur karai ju kahaanee |
Krishna slept after taking meal and dreamt that after drinking good deal of water,
ਰਾਜ ਗਯੋ ਤਰਨੋ ਮਗੁ ਰੈਨ ਲਹਿਯੋ ਸੁ ਲਗਿਯੋ ਵਹ ਪੀਅਨ ਪਾਨੀ ॥
raaj gayo tarano mag rain lahiyo su lagiyo veh peean paanee |
His belly had been greatly filled
ਰਾਤਿ ਪਰੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਭਰਿਭੈ ਤਿਨ ਸ੍ਰਉਨ ਸੁਨੀ ਅਪਨੇ ਇਹ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
raat paree tab hee bharibhai tin sraun sunee apane ih baanee |
When the night advanced further, he heard a frightening sound, which asked him to go away from that place
ਜਾਹੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤਿਨ ਤਉ ਹਰਿ ਗਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਾਇ ਮਿਲਿਯੋ ਅਪਨੀ ਪਟਰਾਨੀ ॥੨੦੩॥
jaahu kahiyo tin tau har gayo grih jaae miliyo apanee pattaraanee |203|
Krishna came away from that place and reached his home and met his mother.203.
ਸੋਇ ਗਏ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਭਏ ਫਿਰਿ ਲੈ ਬਛਰੇ ਬਨ ਗੇ ਗਿਰਧਾਰੀ ॥
soe ge har praat bhe fir lai bachhare ban ge giradhaaree |
Krishna went to sleep and went again to the forest early in the morning, taking away his calves
ਮਧਿ ਭਏ ਰਵਿ ਕੇ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਤਟਿ ਧਾਇ ਗਏ ਜਹ ਥੋ ਸਰ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
madh bhe rav ke jamunaa tatt dhaae ge jeh tho sar bhaaree |
At noon, he reached a place, where there was a very big tank
ਗੋ ਬਛਰੇ ਅਰੁ ਗੋਪ ਸਭੈ ਗਿਰਗੇ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਡਸੇ ਜਬ ਕਾਰੀ ॥
go bachhare ar gop sabhai girage sabh praan ddase jab kaaree |
There the Kali serpent stung all the cows, calves and the gopa boys and they all fell down dead
ਧਾਇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮੁਸਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੈ ਸਭ ਸੈਨ ਸਖਾ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰੀ ॥੨੦੪॥
dhaae kahiyo musalee prabh pai sabh sain sakhaa tumaree har maaree |204|
Seeing this Balram said to Krishna, “Run away, all your army of the boys has been killed by the snake.”204.
