Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਦਾਤਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥

aradaas sunee daataar prabh hoe kirapaal |

God, the Great Giver, has become merciful; He has listened to my prayer.

ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਆ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੇਵਕੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਛਾਰੁ ॥੧॥

raakh leea apanaa sevako mukh nindak chhaar |1|

He has saved His servant, and put ashes into the mouth of the slanderer. ||1||

ਤੁਝਹਿ ਨ ਜੋਹੈ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ ਜਨ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਦਾਸ ॥

tujheh na johai ko meet jan toon gur kaa daas |

No one can threaten you now, O my humble friend, for you are the slave of the Guru.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

paarabraham too raakhiaa de apane haath |1| rahaau |

The Supreme Lord God reached out with His Hand and saved you. ||1||Pause||

ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਬੀਆ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਰੁ ॥

jeean kaa daataa ek hai beea nahee hor |

The One Lord is the Giver of all beings; there is no other at all.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀਆ ਮੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ॥੨॥੯॥੭੩॥

naanak kee benanteea mai teraa jor |2|9|73|

Nanak prays, You are my only strength, God. ||2||9||73||
