Gond, Fourth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸੀਤਲ ਮਨੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥

har simarat sadaa hoe anand sukh antar saant seetal man apanaa |

Remembering the Lord in meditation, you shall find bliss and peace forever deep within, and your mind will become tranquil and cool.

ਜੈਸੇ ਸਕਤਿ ਸੂਰੁ ਬਹੁ ਜਲਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਸਿ ਦੇਖੇ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਸਭ ਤਪਨਾ ॥੧॥

jaise sakat soor bahu jalataa gur sas dekhe leh jaae sabh tapanaa |1|

It is like the harsh sun of Maya, with its burning heat; seeing the moon, the Guru, its heat totally vanishes. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨਾ ॥

mere man anadin dhiaae naam har japanaa |

O my mind, night and day, meditate, and chant the Lord's Name.

ਜਹਾ ਕਹਾ ਤੁਝੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਸੋ ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਤੂ ਅਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jahaa kahaa tujh raakhai sabh tthaaee so aisaa prabh sev sadaa too apanaa |1| rahaau |

Here and hereafter, He shall protect you, everywhere; serve such a God forever. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਜਿ ਲਹਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨਾ ॥

jaa meh sabh nidhaan so har jap man mere guramukh khoj lahahu har ratanaa |

Meditate on the Lord, who contains all treasures, O my mind; as Gurmukh, search for the jewel, the Lord.

ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਮਲਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਸਨਾ ॥੨॥

jin har dhiaaeaa tin har paaeaa meraa suaamee tin ke charan malahu har dasanaa |2|

Those who meditate on the Lord, find the Lord, my Lord and Master; I wash the feet of those slaves of the Lord. ||2||

ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਣਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਓਹੁ ਊਤਮੁ ਸੰਤੁ ਭਇਓ ਬਡ ਬਡਨਾ ॥

sabad pachhaan raam ras paavahu ohu aootam sant bheo badd baddanaa |

One who realizes the Word of the Shabad, obtains the sublime essence of the Lord; such a Saint is lofty and sublime, the greatest of the great.

ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਵਧਾਈ ਓਹੁ ਘਟੈ ਨ ਕਿਸੈ ਕੀ ਘਟਾਈ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਿਲਨਾ ॥੩॥

tis jan kee vaddiaaee har aap vadhaaee ohu ghattai na kisai kee ghattaaee ik til til tilanaa |3|

The Lord Himself magnifies the glory of that humble servant. No one can lessen or decrease that glory, not even a bit. ||3||

ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੋ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ਨਿਤ ਕਰ ਜੁਰਨਾ ॥

jis te sukh paaveh man mere so sadaa dhiaae nit kar juranaa |

He shall give you peace, O my mind; meditate forever, every day on Him, with your palms pressed together.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਇਕੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਨਿਤ ਬਸਹਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਚਰਨਾ ॥੪॥੩॥

jan naanak kau har daan ik deejai nit baseh ridai haree mohi charanaa |4|3|

Please bless servant Nanak with this one gift, O Lord, that Your feet may dwell within my heart forever. ||4||3||
