Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਕਰਹੁ ਗਤਿ ਦਇਆਲ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮੋਰੀ ॥

karahu gat deaal santahu moree |

Save me, O Merciful Saint!

ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੂਟੀ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜੋਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

tum samarath kaaran karanaa toottee tum hee joree |1| rahaau |

You are the All-powerful Cause of causes. You have ended my separation, and joined me with God. ||1||Pause||

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਬਿਖਈ ਤੁਮ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਪਾਈ ॥

janam janam ke bikhee tum taare sumat sang tumaarai paaee |

You save us from the corruption and sins of countless incarnations; associating with You, we obtain sublime understanding.

ਅਨਿਕ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਈ ॥੧॥

anik jon bhramate prabh bisarat saas saas har gaaee |1|

Forgetting God, we wandered through countless incarnations; with each and every breath, we sing the Lord's Praises. ||1||

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਤੇ ਤੇ ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ॥

jo jo sang mile saadhoo kai te te patit puneetaa |

Whoever meets with the Holy Saints - those sinners are sanctified.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤਾ ॥੨॥੪੨॥੬੫॥

kahu naanak jaa ke vaddabhaagaa tin janam padaarath jeetaa |2|42|65|

Says Nanak, those who have such high destiny, win this invaluable human life. ||2||42||65||
