Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰੋ ਇਤ ਉਤ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ॥

prabh mero it ut sadaa sahaaee |

Here and hereafter, God is forever my Help and Support.

ਮਨਮੋਹਨੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਕੋ ਪਿਆਰੋ ਕਵਨ ਕਹਾ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

manamohan mere jeea ko piaaro kavan kahaa gun gaaee |1| rahaau |

He is the Enticer of my mind, the Beloved of my soul. What Glorious Praises of His can I sing and chant? ||1||Pause||

ਖੇਲਿ ਖਿਲਾਇ ਲਾਡ ਲਾਡਾਵੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਅਨਦਾਈ ॥

khel khilaae laadd laaddaavai sadaa sadaa anadaaee |

He plays with me, He fondles and caresses me. Forever and ever, He blesses me with bliss.

ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੈ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ਜੈਸੇ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾਈ ॥੧॥

pratipaalai baarik kee niaaee jaise maat pitaaee |1|

He cherishes me, like the father and the mother love their child. ||1||

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਿਮਖ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੀਐ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਜਾਈ ॥

tis bin nimakh nahee reh sakeeai bisar na kabahoo jaaee |

I cannot survive without Him, even for an instant; I shall never forget Him.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੇ ਮਗਨ ਭਏ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੨॥੨੫॥੪੮॥

kahu naanak mil santasangat te magan bhe liv laaee |2|25|48|

Says Nanak, joining the Society of the Saints, I am enraptured, lovingly attuned to my Lord. ||2||25||48||
