ਗਾਈ ਰੰਗ ਬਿਰੰਗ ਬਹੁ ਦੁਧੁ ਉਜਲੁ ਵਰਣਾ ।
gaaee rang birang bahu dudh ujal varanaa |
Cows are of different hues but the milk of all is white.
ਦੁਧਹੁ ਦਹੀ ਜਮਾਈਐ ਕਰਿ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਧਰਣਾ ।
dudhahu dahee jamaaeeai kar nihachal dharanaa |
For making curd Some rennet is added into it and then it is placed undistributed.
ਦਹੀ ਵਿਲੋਇ ਅਲੋਈਐ ਛਾਹਿ ਮਖਣ ਤਰਣਾ ।
dahee viloe aloeeai chhaeh makhan taranaa |
By churning curd one finds butter over the butter milk.
ਮਖਣੁ ਤਾਇ ਅਉਟਾਇ ਕੈ ਘਿਉ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰਣਾ ।
makhan taae aauttaae kai ghiau niramal karanaa |
The butter boiled properly is transformed into ghee – clarified butter.
ਹੋਮ ਜਗ ਨਈਵੇਦ ਕਰਿ ਸਭ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਰਣਾ ।
hom jag neeved kar sabh kaaraj saranaa |
Then that ghee is used as burnt offering and him yajn(rituals) and other oblation are performed.
ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਇ ਜਰਣਾ ।੧੩।
aape aap varatadaa guramukh hoe jaranaa |13|
Gurmukh knows that the Lord is all pervading but to reach Him one has to have spiritual quest as well as the sense of contentment.
