Maajh, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਭੇ ਸੁਖ ਭਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਠੇ ॥

sabhe sukh bhe prabh tutthe |

All happiness comes, when God is pleased.

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠੇ ॥

gur poore ke charan man vutthe |

The Feet of the Perfect Guru dwell in my mind.

ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗੀ ਲਿਵ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੋ ਰਸੁ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

sehaj samaadh lagee liv antar so ras soee jaanai jeeo |1|

I am intuitively absorbed in the state of Samaadhi deep within. God alone knows this sweet pleasure. ||1||

ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥

agam agochar saahib meraa |

My Lord and Master is Inaccessible and Unfathomable.

ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਨੇਰਾ ॥

ghatt ghatt antar varatai neraa |

Deep within each and every heart, He dwells near and close at hand.

ਸਦਾ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥

sadaa alipat jeea kaa daataa ko viralaa aap pachhaanai jeeo |2|

He is always detached; He is the Giver of souls. How rare is that person who understands his own self. ||2||

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਣੈ ਕੀ ਏਹ ਨੀਸਾਣੀ ॥

prabh milanai kee eeh neesaanee |

This is the sign of union with God:

ਮਨਿ ਇਕੋ ਸਚਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਛਾਣੀ ॥

man iko sachaa hukam pachhaanee |

in the mind, the Command of the True Lord is recognized.

ਸਹਜਿ ਸੰਤੋਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ ਅਨਦੁ ਖਸਮ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

sehaj santokh sadaa tripataase anad khasam kai bhaanai jeeo |3|

Intuitive peace and poise, contentment, enduring satisfaction and bliss come through the Pleasure of the Master's Will. ||3||

ਹਥੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੈ ॥

hathee ditee prabh devanahaarai |

God, the Great Giver, has given me His Hand.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਰੋਗ ਸਭਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥

janam maran rog sabh nivaare |

He has erased all the sickness of birth and death.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਕੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨਿ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੫॥੪੨॥

naanak daas kee prabh apune har keeratan rang maane jeeo |4|35|42|

O Nanak, those whom God has made His slaves, rejoice in the pleasure of singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises. ||4||35||42||
