ਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨ︀ਯੋ ॥

taa ko kahiyo sat kar maanayo |

That fool believed her to be trustworthy

ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਜੜ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨ︀ਯੋ ॥

bhed abhed jarr kachhoo na jaanayo |

And did not try to understand the real purpose.

ਤਾ ਸੋ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁ ਨੇਹ ਸੁ ਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

taa so adhik su neh su dhaariyo |

Thinking that she had helped him to eliminate his big infirmity,

ਮੇਰੋ ਬਡੋ ਰੋਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਟਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੨॥

mero baddo rog triy ttaariyo |12|

He started to love her even more. (12)
