ਆਸਾ ॥ ਤਿਪਦਾ ॥ ਇਕਤੁਕਾ ॥

aasaa | tipadaa | ikatukaa |

Aasaa, Ti-Pada, Ik-Tuka:

ਕੀਓ ਸਿੰਗਾਰੁ ਮਿਲਨ ਕੇ ਤਾਈ ॥

keeo singaar milan ke taaee |

I have decorated myself to meet my Husband Lord.

ਹਰਿ ਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥੧॥

har na mile jagajeevan gusaaee |1|

But the Lord, the Life of the Word, the Sustainer of the Universe, has not come to meet me. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਬਹੁਰੀਆ ॥

har mero pir hau har kee bahureea |

The Lord is my Husband, and I am the Lord's bride.

ਰਾਮ ਬਡੇ ਮੈ ਤਨਕ ਲਹੁਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

raam badde mai tanak lahureea |1| rahaau |

The Lord is so great, and I am infinitesimally small. ||1||Pause||

ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਏਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸੇਰਾ ॥

dhan pir ekai sang baseraa |

The bride and the Groom dwell together.

ਸੇਜ ਏਕ ਪੈ ਮਿਲਨੁ ਦੁਹੇਰਾ ॥੨॥

sej ek pai milan duheraa |2|

They lie upon the one bed, but their union is difficult. ||2||

ਧੰਨਿ ਸੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਜੋ ਪੀਅ ਭਾਵੈ ॥

dhan suhaagan jo peea bhaavai |

Blessed is the soul-bride, who is pleasing to her Husband Lord.

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਫਿਰਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੩॥੮॥੩੦॥

keh kabeer fir janam na aavai |3|8|30|

Says Kabeer, she shall not have to be reincarnated again. ||3||8||30||
