Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਕੇ ॥

har jan sagal udhaare sang ke |

The Lord's humble servant saves those who accompany him.

ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਮਨ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhe puneet pavitr man janam janam ke dukh hare |1| rahaau |

Their minds are sanctified and rendered pure, and they are rid of the pains of countless incarnations. ||1||Pause||

ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲੇ ਤਿਨੑੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨੑ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਸੇ ਤਰੇ ॥

maarag chale tinaee sukh paaeaa jina siau gosatt se tare |

Those who walk on the path find peace; they are saved, along with those who speak with them.

ਬੂਡਤ ਘੋਰ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥੧॥

booddat ghor andh koop meh te saadhoo sang paar pare |1|

Even those who are drowning in the horrible, deep dark pit are carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||

ਜਿਨੑ ਕੇ ਭਾਗ ਬਡੇ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਤਿਨੑ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੁਖ ਜੁਰੇ ॥

jina ke bhaag badde hai bhaaee tina saadhoo sang mukh jure |

Those who have such high destiny turn their faces toward the Saadh Sangat.

ਤਿਨੑ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੨॥

tina kee dhoor baanchhai nit naanak prabh meraa kirapaa kare |2|3|22|

Nanak longs for the dust of their feet; O God, please shower Your Mercy on me! ||2||3||22||
