ਹਰਖਤ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਸੈਨਾ ਸੁਨਿ ॥

ਆਯੋ ਦਛ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਪਤਿ ਕੇ ਮੁਨਿ ॥
aayo dachh prajaapat ke mun |
When the sage Dutt reached the abode of Daksha Prajapati, he was greatly pleased alongwith his army
ਤਹਾ ਏਕ ਚੇਰਕਾ ਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
tahaa ek cherakaa nihaaree |
ਚੰਦਨ ਘਸਤ ਮਨੋ ਮਤਵਾਰੀ ॥੧੯੫॥
chandan ghasat mano matavaaree |195|
There the sage Dutt saw a maid-servant, who, being intoxicated, was rubbing the sandalwood.195.
ਚੰਦਨ ਘਸਤ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੁਭ ਧਰਮਾ ॥
chandan ghasat naar subh dharamaa |
ਏਕ ਚਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਆਪਨ ਘਰ ਮਾ ॥
ek chit hvai aapan ghar maa |
That lady of good conduct was grinding sandalwood single-mindedly in her home
ਏਕ ਚਿਤ ਨਹੀ ਚਿਤ ਚਲਾਵੈ ॥
ek chit nahee chit chalaavai |
ਪ੍ਰਿਤਮਾ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਲਜਾਵੈ ॥੧੯੬॥
pritamaa chitr bilok lajaavai |196|
She had concentrated her mind and seeing her even the portrait was getting shy.196.
ਦਤ ਲਏ ਸੰਨ︀ਯਾਸਨ ਸੰਗਾ ॥
dat le sanayaasan sangaa |
ਜਾਤ ਭਯੋ ਤਹ ਭੇਟਤ ਅੰਗਾ ॥
jaat bhayo teh bhettat angaa |
ਸੀਸ ਉਚਾਇ ਨ ਤਾਸ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
sees uchaae na taas nihaaraa |
ਰਾਵ ਰੰਕ ਕੋ ਜਾਤ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥੧੯੭॥
raav rank ko jaat bichaaraa |197|
Dutt went that way alongwith the Sannyasis in order to meet her, but she did not raise her head and see whether some king or some pauper was going.197.
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਦਤ ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾ ॥
taa ko dat bilok prabhaavaa |
ਅਸਟਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਤਾਹਿ ਠਹਰਾਵਾ ॥
asattam guroo taeh tthaharaavaa |
ਧੰਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਇਹ ਚੇਰਕਾ ਸਭਾਗੀ ॥
dhan dhan ih cherakaa sabhaagee |
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨਾਥ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੧੯੮॥
jaa kee preet naath sang laagee |198|
Seeing her impact, Dutt accepted her as the eighth Guru and said, “Blessed is this maid-servant, who is absorbed in love with that Lord.”198.
ਐਸ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੇਤ ਲਗਇਯੈ ॥
ais preet har het lageiyai |
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਨਾਥ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਪਇਯੈ ॥
tab hee naath niranjan peiyai |
When such a love is observed with that Lord, then He is realized
ਬਿਨੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਦੀਨ ਹਾਥਿ ਨਹੀ ਆਵੈ ॥
bin chit deen haath nahee aavai |
ਚਾਰ ਬੇਦ ਇਮਿ ਭੇਦ ਬਤਾਵੈ ॥੧੯੯॥
chaar bed im bhed bataavai |199|
He is not achieved without bringing humility in the mind and all the four Vedas tell this.199.
