Fifth Mehl:

ਮੇਰੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਚਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਕੀ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੋਹਿ ॥

merai antar lochaa milan kee kiau paavaa prabh tohi |

Deep within me is the longing to meet You; how can I find You, God?

ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਸਜਣੁ ਲੋੜਿ ਲਹੁ ਜੋ ਮੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮੋਹਿ ॥

koee aisaa sajan lorr lahu jo mele preetam mohi |

I will search for someone, some friend, who will unite me with my Beloved.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਮੇਲਾਇਆ ਜਤ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਤ ਸੋਇ ॥

gur poorai melaaeaa jat dekhaa tat soe |

The Perfect Guru has united me with Him; wherever I look, there He is.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੨॥

jan naanak so prabh seviaa tis jevadd avar na koe |2|

Servant Nanak serves that God; there is no other as great as He is. ||2||
