ਭੀਖ ਮਾਗ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਘਰ ਆਯੋ ॥

bheekh maag bahuro ghar aayo |

ਤਹਾ ਤਵਨ ਕੋ ਦਰਸ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥

tahaa tavan ko daras na paayo |

He asked, ‘The one who had treated me,

ਕਹ ਗਯੋ ਜਿਨ ਮੁਰ ਰੋਗ ਘਟਾਇਸ ॥

keh gayo jin mur rog ghattaaeis |

The one who has curtailed my disease, where has he gone?’

ਯਹ ਜੜ ਭੇਵ ਨੈਕ ਨ ਪਾਇਸ ॥੯॥

yeh jarr bhev naik na paaeis |9|

Pity, the fool could not comprehend the real motive.(9)

ਤਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਯੌ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥

tab abalaa yau bachan uchaare |

ਕਹੋ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨੁ ਮੀਤ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥

kaho baat sun meet hamaare |

ਸਿਧਿ ਔਖਧ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕਰ ਆਯੋ ॥

sidh aauakhadh jaa ke kar aayo |

ਦੈ ਤਿਨ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਦਰਸ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥੧੦॥
