ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਜਾ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਰਣਿ ਗਹੀ ॥

jaa te saadhoo saran gahee |

Since I grasped hold of the Sanctuary of the Holy,

ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਓ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਾ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਰਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

saant sehaj man bheo pragaasaa birathaa kachh na rahee |1| rahaau |

my mind is illuminated with tranquility, peace and poise, and I am rid of all my pain. ||1||Pause||

ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਏਹ ਕਹੀ ॥

hohu kripaal naam dehu apunaa binatee eeh kahee |

Please be merciful to me, O Lord, and bless me with Your Name; this is the prayer I offer to You.

ਆਨ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਪਾਇਓ ਲਾਭੁ ਸਹੀ ॥੧॥

aan biauhaar bisare prabh simarat paaeo laabh sahee |1|

I have forgotten my other occupations; remembering God in meditation, I have obtained the true profit. ||1||

ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਤਹੀ ਸਮਾਨੋ ਸਾਈ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਹੀ ॥

jeh te upajio tahee samaano saaee basat ahee |

We shall merge again into the One from whom we came; He is the Essence of Being.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਰਮੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਖੋਇਓ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਹੀ ॥੨॥੬੦॥੮੩॥

kahu naanak bharam gur khoeo jotee jot samahee |2|60|83|

Says Nanak, the Guru has eradicated my doubt; my light has merged into the Light. ||2||60||83||
