Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਓਟ ਸਤਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਮੇਰੈ ॥

ott sataanee prabh jeeo merai |

I have the Almighty Support of my Dear Lord God.

ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਲਿਆਵਉ ਅਵਰ ਕਾਹੂ ਕਉ ਮਾਣਿ ਮਹਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

drisatt na liaavau avar kaahoo kau maan mehat prabh terai |1| rahaau |

I do not look up to anyone else. My honor and glory are Yours, O God. ||1||Pause||

ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਓ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੀਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਘੇਰੈ ॥

angeekaar keeo prabh apunai kaadt leea bikh gherai |

God has taken my side; He has lifted me up and pulled me out of the whirlpool of corruption.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਜਾਇ ਪਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਪੈਰੈ ॥੧॥

amrit naam aaukhadh mukh deeno jaae peaa gur pairai |1|

He has poured the medicine of the Naam, the Ambrosial Name of the Lord, into my mouth; I have fallen at the Guru's Feet. ||1||

ਕਵਨ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਹਉ ਏਕ ਮੁਖ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇਰੈ ॥

kavan upamaa khau ek mukh niragun ke daaterai |

How can I praise You with only one mouth? You are generous, even to the unworthy.

ਕਾਟਿ ਸਿਲਕ ਜਉ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕੀਨੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੂਖ ਘਨੇਰੈ ॥੨॥੨੭॥੫੦॥

kaatt silak jau apunaa keeno naanak sookh ghanerai |2|27|50|

You cut away the noose, and now You own me; Nanak is blessed with myriad joys. ||2||27||50||
