ਇਹ ਵਾਰ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਮਹਾਂ ਪੁਨੀਤੇ ।

eih vaar bhgautee mahaan puneete |

This Epic of Bhagauti is prominently sacred,

ਜਿਸ ਉਚਰਤਿ ਉਪਜਤਿ ਪਰਤੀਤੇ ।

jis ucharat upajat parateete |

Sermonising which, (sublime) perception is revealed.

ਜੋ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਸੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਲਗਾਵੈ ।

jo is vaar son prem lagaavai |

Those, who will embrace this Epic,

ਸੋਈ ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਿਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਵੈ ।

soee man baanchhit fal paavai |

Will get their mental desires fulfilled.

ਮਿਟਹਿਂ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਖ ਦੁੰਦ ਕਲੇਸਾ ।

mittahin sagal dukh dund kalesaa |

All the adversities, conflicts and bickering will be erased.

ਫੁਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੈਂ ਬਹੁ ਸੁਖ ਪਰਵੇਸਾ ।

fun pragattain bahu sukh paravesaa |

The sacred manifestation descends, and one gets contentment.

ਜੋ ਨਿਸ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਰਟਹਿਂ ਇਹ ਵਾਰੇ ।

jo nis baasur rattahin ih vaare |

One who recites this Epic day and night,

ਸੋ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਧੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ।

so pahunche dhur har darabaare |

Will realise the internal court of Har.

ਇਹ ਵਾਰ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਸਮਾਪਤਿ ਕੀਨੀ ।

eih vaar bhgautee samaapat keenee |

Thus the Epic of Bhagauti is completed.

ਤਬ ਘਟ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਚੀਨੀ ।

tab ghatt bidiaa kee sabh bidh cheenee |

Through its knowledge the creator is recognised,

ਇਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਭਏ ਦਿਆਲਾ ।

eiau satigur saahib bhe diaalaa |

Only then the True Guru becomes benevolent,

ਤਬ ਛੂਟ ਗਏ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਜੰਜਾਲਾ ।

tab chhoott ge sabh hee janjaalaa |

And all the perplexities are ridden.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਰਿ ਗਿਰਧਾਰੇ ।

kar kirapaa prabh har giradhaare |

O God, Almighty, do me a favour,

ਤਹਿ ਪਕੜਿ ਬਾਂਹ ਭਉਜਲ ਸੋਂ ਤਾਰੇ ।

teh pakarr baanh bhaujal son taare |

Hold my arm and enable me to swim across the temporal sea.

ਇਉਂ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ ।

eiaun kar hai guradaas pukaaraa |

Thus exclaimed Gurdas;

ਹੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੁਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਾ ।੨੮।੪੧। ਇਤੀ ।

he satigur muhi lehu ubaaraa |28|41| itee |

O my True Guru, you grant me redemption.
