ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਗੰਮੁ ਹੈ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਨਿਰਾਲਾ ।

satigur purakh agam hai niravair niraalaa |

The true Guru is inaccessible, without rancour and extraordinary.

ਜਾਣਹੁ ਧਰਤੀ ਧਰਮ ਕੀ ਸਚੀ ਧਰਮਸਾਲਾ ।

jaanahu dharatee dharam kee sachee dharamasaalaa |

Consider earth as the true abode of dharma.

ਜੇਹਾ ਬੀਜੈ ਸੋ ਲੁਣੈ ਫਲੁ ਕਰਮ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਲਾ ।

jehaa beejai so lunai fal karam samhaalaa |

Here karmas take care of the fruits i.e. one reaps what he sows.

ਜਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਆਰਸੀ ਜਗੁ ਵੇਖਣਿ ਵਾਲਾ ।

jiau kar niramal aarasee jag vekhan vaalaa |

He (the Lord) is the mirror in which the world can see its face reflected.

ਜੇਹਾ ਮੁਹੁ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਲੀਐ ਤੇਹੋ ਵੇਖਾਲਾ ।

jehaa muhu kar bhaaleeai teho vekhaalaa |

One would see the same face he will carry before the mirror.

ਸੇਵਕੁ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੁਰਖਰੂ ਵੇਮੁਖੁ ਮੁਹੁ ਕਾਲਾ ।੧।

sevak daragah surakharoo vemukh muhu kaalaa |1|

The servants of God remain red faced and triumphant whereas the apostates keep their faces blackened.
