ਤੀਨਿ ਬਿਆਪਹਿ ਜਗਤ ਕਉ ਤੁਰੀਆ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥

teen biaapeh jagat kau tureea paavai koe |

The world is in the grip of the three qualities; only a few attain the fourth state of absorption.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਭਏ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥

naanak sant niramal bhe jin man vasiaa soe |3|

O Nanak, the Saints are pure and immaculate; the Lord abides within their minds. ||3||
