Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਗਲ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਛਾਡਿ ॥

sagal siaanap chhaadd |

Abandon all your clever tricks.

ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਸਾਜਿ ॥

kar sevaa sevak saaj |

Become His servant, and serve Him.

ਅਪਨਾ ਆਪੁ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਾਇ ॥

apanaa aap sagal mittaae |

Totally erase your self-conceit.

ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦੇ ਸੇਈ ਫਲ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥

man chinde seee fal paae |1|

You shall obtain the fruits of your mind's desires. ||1||

ਹੋਹੁ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ॥

hohu saavadhaan apune gur siau |

Be awake and aware with your Guru.

ਆਸਾ ਮਨਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

aasaa manasaa pooran hovai paaveh sagal nidhaan gur siau |1| rahaau |

Your hopes and desires shall be fulfilled, and you shall obtain all treasures from the Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਇ ॥

doojaa nahee jaanai koe |

Let no one think that God and Guru are separate.

ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਇ ॥

satagur niranjan soe |

The True Guru is the Immaculate Lord.

ਮਾਨੁਖ ਕਾ ਕਰਿ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਜਾਨੁ ॥

maanukh kaa kar roop na jaan |

Do not believe that He is a mere human being;

ਮਿਲੀ ਨਿਮਾਨੇ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੨॥

milee nimaane maan |2|

He gives honor to the dishonored. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕ ਟਿਕਾਇ ॥

gur kee har ttek ttikaae |

Hold tight to the Support of the Guru, the Lord.

ਅਵਰ ਆਸਾ ਸਭ ਲਾਹਿ ॥

avar aasaa sabh laeh |

Give up all other hopes.

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਾਗੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥

har kaa naam maag nidhaan |

Ask for the treasure of the Name of the Lord,

ਤਾ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥

taa daragah paaveh maan |3|

and then you shall be honored in the Court of the Lord. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਬਚਨੁ ਜਪਿ ਮੰਤੁ ॥

gur kaa bachan jap mant |

Chant the Mantra of the Guru's Word.

ਏਹਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਾਰ ਤਤੁ ॥

ehaa bhagat saar tat |

This is the essence of true devotional worship.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥

satigur bhe deaal |

When the True Guru becomes merciful,

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੩੯॥

naanak daas nihaal |4|28|39|

slave Nanak is enraptured. ||4||28||39||
