ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਜਗੁ ਪਰਬੋਧੀਐ ।

guramukh panddit hoe jag parabodheeai |

As a knowledgeable person, the gurmukh imparts knowledge to the world.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ ਅੰਦਰੁ ਸੋਧੀਐ ।

guramukh aap gavaae andar sodheeai |

Losing their ego, the gurmukhs purify their inner-self.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਨ ਕਾਮੁ ਕਰੋਧੀਐ ।

guramukh sat santokh na kaam karodheeai |

Gurmukhs adopt truth and contentment and do not indulge in lust and anger.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੈ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਨ ਵੈਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਐ ।

guramukh hai niravair na vair virodheeai |

Gurmukhs have no enmity and opposition towards anyone.

ਚਹੁ ਵਰਨਾ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮੋਧੀਐ ।

chahu varanaa upades sehaj samodheeai |

Preaching to all the four varnas, gurmukhs merge in equipoise.

ਧੰਨੁ ਜਣੇਦੀ ਮਾਉ ਜੋਧਾ ਜੋਧੀਐ ।੧੮।

dhan janedee maau jodhaa jodheeai |18|

Blest is the mother of a gurmukh who has given birth to him and the gurmukh is the best among warriors.
