ਮਨ ਜਿਉ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਉ ॥

man jiau apune prabh bhaavau |

O my mind, act as it pleases God.

ਨੀਚਹੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਅਤਿ ਨਾਨੑਾ ਹੋਇ ਗਰੀਬੁ ਬੁਲਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

neechahu neech neech at naanaa hoe gareeb bulaavau |1| rahaau |

Become the lowest of the low, the very least of the tiny, and speak in utmost humility. ||1||Pause||

ਅਨਿਕ ਅਡੰਬਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬਿਰਥੇ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਘਟਾਵਉ ॥

anik addanbar maaeaa ke birathe taa siau preet ghattaavau |

The many ostentatious shows of Maya are useless; I withhold my love from these.

ਜਿਉ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਨੈ ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੧॥

jiau apuno suaamee sukh maanai taa meh sobhaa paavau |1|

As something pleases my Lord and Master, in that I find my glory. ||1||

ਦਾਸਨ ਦਾਸ ਰੇਣੁ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੀ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਟਹਲ ਕਮਾਵਉ ॥

daasan daas ren daasan kee jan kee ttehal kamaavau |

I am the slave of His slaves; becoming the dust of the feet of his slaves, I serve His humble servants.

ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਬਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀਵਉ ਮੁਖਹੁ ਬੁਲਾਵਉ ॥੨॥੫॥

sarab sookh baddiaaee naanak jeevau mukhahu bulaavau |2|5|

I obtain all peace and greatness, O Nanak, living to chant His Name with my mouth. ||2||5||
