ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik oankaar satigur prasaad |

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥

har har bhagat bhare bhanddaaraa |

Devotional worship to the Lord, Har, Har, is an overflowing treasure.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥

guramukh raam kare nisataaraa |

The Gurmukh is emancipated by the Lord.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

jis no kripaa kare meraa suaamee so har ke gun gaavai jeeo |1|

One who is blessed by the Mercy of my Lord and Master sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਬਨਵਾਲੀ ॥

har har kripaa kare banavaalee |

O Lord, Har, Har, take pity on me,

ਹਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੀ ॥

har hiradai sadaa sadaa samaalee |

that within my heart, I may dwell upon You, Lord, forever and ever.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਅੜੇ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਛਡਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

har har naam japahu mere jeearre jap har har naam chhaddaavai jeeo |1| rahaau |

Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my soul; chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, you shall be emancipated. ||1||Pause||

ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥

sukh saagar amrit har naau |

The Ambrosial Name of the Lord is the ocean of peace.

ਮੰਗਤ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਹੁ ਪਸਾਉ ॥

mangat jan jaachai har dehu pasaau |

The beggar begs for it; O Lord, please bless him, in Your kindness.

ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥

har sat sat sadaa har sat har sat merai man bhaavai jeeo |2|

True, True is the Lord; the Lord is forever True; the True Lord is pleasing to my mind. ||2||

ਨਵੇ ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਸ੍ਰਵਹਿ ਅਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਾ ॥

nave chhidr sraveh apavitraa |

The nine holes pour out filth.

ਬੋਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਤਾ ॥

bol har naam pavitr sabh kitaa |

Chanting the Lord's Name, they are all purified and sanctified.

ਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਮਲੁ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

je har suprasan hovai meraa suaamee har simarat mal leh jaavai jeeo |3|

When my Lord and Master is totally pleased, He leads the mortal to meditate in remembrance on the Lord, and then his filth is taken away. ||3||

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਰੀ ॥

maaeaa mohu bikham hai bhaaree |

Attachment to Maya is terribly treacherous.

ਕਿਉ ਤਰੀਐ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ॥

kiau tareeai dutar sansaaree |

How can one cross over the difficult world-ocean?

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਦੇਇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਲੰਘਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥

satigur bohith dee prabh saachaa jap har har paar langhaavai jeeo |4|

The True Lord bestows the boat of the True Guru; meditating on the Lord, Har, Har, one is carried across. ||4||

ਤੂ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ॥

too sarabatr teraa sabh koee |

You are everywhere; all are Yours.

ਜੋ ਤੂ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹੋਈ ॥

jo too kareh soee prabh hoee |

Whatever You do, God, that alone comes to pass.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਬੇਚਾਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥੧॥੭॥

jan naanak gun gaavai bechaaraa har bhaavai har thaae paavai jeeo |5|1|7|

Poor servant Nanak sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord; as it pleases the Lord, He bestows His approval. ||5||1||7||
