ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਸੰਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥

har kaa sant har kee har moorat jis hiradai har naam muraar |

The Lord's Saint is the embodiment of the Lord; within his heart is the Name of the Lord.

ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮੑਾਰਿ ॥੧॥

masatak bhaag hovai jis likhiaa so guramat hiradai har naam samaar |1|

One who has such destiny inscribed on his forehead, follows the Guru's Teachings, and contemplates the Name of the Lord within his heart. ||1||

ਮਧੁਸੂਦਨੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ॥

madhusoodan japeeai ur dhaar |

Enshrine Him in your heart, and meditate on the Lord.

ਦੇਹੀ ਨਗਰਿ ਤਸਕਰ ਪੰਚ ਧਾਤੂ ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਢੇ ਮਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

dehee nagar tasakar panch dhaatoo gurasabadee har kaadte maar |1| rahaau |

The five plundering thieves are in the body-village; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the Lord has beaten them and driven them out. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਨ ਕਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਾਰਜ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ ॥

jin kaa har setee man maaniaa tin kaaraj har aap savaar |

Those whose minds are satisfied with the Lord - the Lord Himself resolves their affairs.

ਤਿਨ ਚੂਕੀ ਮੁਹਤਾਜੀ ਲੋਕਨ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥੨॥

tin chookee muhataajee lokan kee har angeekaar keea karataar |2|

Their subservience and their dependence on other people is ended; the Creator Lord is on their side. ||2||

ਮਤਾ ਮਸੂਰਤਿ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਜੈ ਜੇ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ॥

mataa masoorat taan kichh keejai je kichh hovai har baahar |

If something were beyond the realm of the Lord's Power, only then would we have recourse to consult someone else.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਹੋਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥੩॥

jo kichh kare soee bhal hosee har dhiaavahu anadin naam muraar |3|

Whatever the Lord does is good. Meditate on the Name of the Lord, night and day. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੇ ਓਹੁ ਪੂਛਿ ਨ ਕਿਸੈ ਕਰੇ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥

har jo kichh kare su aape aape ohu poochh na kisai kare beechaar |

Whatever the Lord does, He does by Himself. He does not ask or consult anyone else.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਮੇਲਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੧॥੫॥

naanak so prabh sadaa dhiaaeeai jin meliaa satigur kirapaa dhaar |4|1|5|

O Nanak, meditate forever on God; granting His Grace, He unites us with the True Guru. ||4||1||5||
