ਅੰਤ ਭਏ ਰੁਤਿ ਗ੍ਰੀਖਮ ਕੀ ਰੁਤਿ ਪਾਵਸ ਆਇ ਗਈ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥

ant bhe rut greekham kee rut paavas aae gee sukhadaaee |

The summer season ended and the comfort-giving rainy season came

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਫਿਰੈ ਬਨ ਬੀਥਿਨ ਮੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੈ ਬਛਰੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਅਰੁ ਮਾਈ ॥

kaanrah firai ban beethin mai sang lai bachhare tin kee ar maaee |

Krishna is wandering with his cows and calves in the forests and caves

ਬੈਠਿ ਤਬੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਧ ਗੁਫਾ ਗਿਰਿ ਗਾਵਤ ਗੀਤ ਸਭੈ ਮਨੁ ਭਾਈ ॥

baitth tabai fir madh gufaa gir gaavat geet sabhai man bhaaee |

And singing the songs liked by him

ਤਾ ਛਬਿ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਬਿ ਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਇਮ ਭਾਖਿ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥੨੩੦॥

taa chhab kee at hee upamaa kab ne mukh te im bhaakh sunaaee |230|

The poet has described this spectacle in this way.230.

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਸਾਰੰਗ ਅਉ ਗੁਜਰੀ ਲਲਤਾ ਅਰੁ ਭੈਰਵ ਦੀਪਕ ਗਾਵੈ ॥

soratth saarang aau gujaree lalataa ar bhairav deepak gaavai |

ਟੋਡੀ ਅਉ ਮੇਘ ਮਲ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਅਲਾਪਤ ਗੌਡ ਅਉ ਸੁਧ ਮਲ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥

ttoddee aau megh malrahaar alaapat gauadd aau sudh malrahaar sunaavai |

All of them are causing one another to listen to the musical modes of Sorath, Sarang, Gujri, Lalit, Bhairava, Deepak, Todi, Megh-Malha, Gaund and Shudh Malhar

ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਅਰੁ ਮਾਲਸਿਰੀ ਅਉ ਪਰਜ ਸੁ ਰਾਗਸਿਰੀ ਠਟ ਪਾਵੈ ॥

jaitasaree ar maalasiree aau paraj su raagasiree tthatt paavai |

All are singing there Jaitsri, Malsri and Sri Raga

ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਰਿਝ ਕੈ ਮੁਰਲੀ ਸੰਗ ਕੋਟਕ ਰਾਗ ਬਜਾਵੈ ॥੨੩੧॥

sayaam kahai har jee rijh kai muralee sang kottak raag bajaavai |231|

The poet Shyam says that Krishna, in pleasure, is playing several musical modes on his flute.231.
