ਚਰਨ ਛੁਅਨ ਦੋਊ ਕਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਆਨਿਯੋ ॥

charan chhuan doaoo kaal prer nrip aaniyo |

ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਾ ਕੋ ਬਚਨ ਸਤਿ ਕਰ ਮਾਨਿਯੋ ॥

chitr kalaa ko bachan sat kar maaniyo |

Here, the Raja adhered to the truth of the maid’s words and leapt forward to touch (Sayeed’s) feet.

ਉਠਤ ਤੇਗ ਕੋ ਤਬ ਬਿਨ ਘਾਵ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

autthat teg ko tab bin ghaav prahaariyo |

ਹੋ ਸੁਘਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋ ਹਨਿ ਹੀ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੯॥

ho sughar singh raajaa ko han hee ddaariyo |9|

The Sayeed jumped up and with one stroke decapitated the Raja.(9)
