ਛੋਰਿ ਨਿਸਾਸਨ ਕੇ ਫਰਰੇ ਭਟ ਢੋਲ ਢਮਾਕਨ ਦੈ ਕਰਿ ਢੂਕੇ ॥

chhor nisaasan ke farare bhatt dtol dtamaakan dai kar dtooke |

Waving the flags, they followed the drum beats.

ਢਾਲਨ ਕੌ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਕਰ ਭੀਤਰ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਦਸੌ ਦਿਸਿ ਕੂਕੇ ॥

dtaalan kau geh kai kar bheetar maar hee maar dasau dis kooke |

Bolding shields they shouted, ‘Kill them, kill them.’

ਵਾਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਬਹੇ ਕਈ ਬਾਰ ਗਏ ਛੁਟਿ ਕੰਚਨ ਕੋਟਿ ਕਨੂਕੇ ॥

vaar apaar bahe kee baar ge chhutt kanchan kott kanooke |

Raids after raids, produced fire sparks,

ਲੋਹ ਲੁਹਾਰ ਗੜੈ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਰਿ ਉਠੈ ਇਕ ਬਾਰਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਨਾਰਿ ਭਭੂਕੇ ॥੧੪॥

loh luhaar garrai jan jaar utthai ik baar trinaar bhabhooke |14|

Like the ones produced at the battering (of hot iron) at the ironsmith.(14)
