ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀਓ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੈ ।
vaahiguroo jeeo haazar naazar hai |
Waaheguru is Omnipresent
ਦਿਲੋ ਜਾਨਮ ਬ-ਹਰ ਸਬਾਹੋ ਮਸਾ ।
dilo jaanam baehar sabaaho masaa |
Every morning and evening, my heart and soul,
ਸਰੋ ਫ਼ਰਕਮ ਜ਼ਿ ਰੂਇ ਸਿਦਕੋ ਸਫ਼ਾ ।੧।
saro farakam zi rooe sidako safaa |1|
My head and forehead with faith and clarity (1)
ਬਾਦ ਬਰ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਤਰੀਕਿ ਨਿਸਾਰ ।
baad bar murashad tareek nisaar |
Shall sacrifice for my Guru,
ਅਜ਼ ਸਰਿ ਇਜਜ਼ ਸਦ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਬਾਰ ।੨।
az sar ijaz sad hazaaraan baar |2|
And sacrifice with humility by bowing my head millions of times. (2)
ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿ ਇਨਸਾਂ ਮਲਿਕ ਨਮੂਦਸਤ ਊ ।
ki zi inasaan malik namoodasat aoo |
Because, he created angels out of ordinary human beings,
ਇਜ਼ਤਿ ਖ਼ਾਕੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਜ਼ੂਦਸਤ ਊ ।੩।
eizat khaakeean fazoodasat aoo |3|
And, he elevated the status and honor of the earthly beings. (3)
ਖ਼ਾਸਗਾਂ ਜੁਮਲਾ ਖ਼ਾਕਿ ਪਾਇ ਊ ।
khaasagaan jumalaa khaak paae aoo |
All those honored by Him are, in fact, the dust of His feet,
ਹਮਾ ਮਲਕੂਤੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਿਦਾਇ ਊ ।੪।
hamaa malakooteean fidaae aoo |4|
And, all gods and goddesses are willing to sacrifice themselves for Him. (4)
ਗਰ ਫ਼ਿਰੋਜ਼ਦ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਮਿਹਰੋ ਮਾਹ ।
gar firozad hazaar miharo maah |
Even though, thousands of moons and suns might be shinig,
ਆਲਮੇ ਦਾਂ ਜੁਜ਼ ਊ ਤਮਾਮ ਸਿਆਹ ।੫।
aalame daan juz aoo tamaam siaah |5|
Still the whole world will be in pitch darkness without Him. (5)
ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦਿ ਪਾਕ ਨੂਰਿ ਹੱਕ ਆਮਦ ।
murashad paak noor hak aamad |
Holy and chaste Guru is the image of Akaalpurakh Himself,
ਜ਼ਾਂ ਸਬੱਬ ਦਰ ਦਿਲਮ ਸਬਕ ਆਮਦ ।੬।
zaan sabab dar dilam sabak aamad |6|
That is the reason that I have settled Him inside my heart. (6)
ਆਂ ਕਸਾਨੇ ਕਿ ਜ਼ੋ ਨ ਯਾਦ ਆਰੰਦ ।
aan kasaane ki zo na yaad aarand |
Those persons who do not contemplate Him,
ਸਮਰਾ-ਏ ਜਾਨੋ ਦਿਲ ਬਬਾਦ ਆਰੰਦ ।੭।
samaraae jaano dil babaad aarand |7|
Take it that they have wasted the fruit of their heart and soul for nothing. (7)
ਮਜ਼ਰਾ-ਇ ਪੁਰ ਸਮਰ ਬ-ਅਰਜ਼ਾਨੀ ।
mazaraae pur samar baarazaanee |
This field loaded with cheap fruits,
ਚੂੰ ਮ-ਬੀਨਦ ਜ਼ਿ ਦੂਰ ਸੇਰਾਨੀ ।੮।
choon mabeenad zi door seraanee |8|
When he looks at them to his heart's content, (8)
ਇੰਬਸਾਤ ਆਇਦਸ਼ ਅਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਦਨ ।
einbasaat aaeidash azaan deedan |
Then he gets a special kind of pleasure to look at them,
ਬਰ ਸ਼ਤਾਬਦ ਜ਼ਿ ਬਹਿਰਿ ਬਰਚੀਦਨ ।੯।
bar shataabad zi bahir baracheedan |9|
And, he runs towards them to pluck them. (9)
ਲੇਕ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਨਿਆਰਦ ਅਜ਼ ਵੈ ਬਾਰ ।
lek haasil niaarad az vai baar |
However, he does not get any results from his fields,
ਬਾਜ਼ ਗਰਦਦ ਗੁਰਜਨਾ ਖ਼ੁਆਰੋ ਨਜ਼ਾਰ ।੧੦।
baaz garadad gurajanaa khuaaro nazaar |10|
And, returns disappointed hungry, thirsty and debilitated. (10)
ਗ਼ੈਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਮਾ ਬ-ਦਾਂ ਮਾਨਦ ।
gair satigur hamaa badaan maanad |
Without Satguru, you should consider everything to be like as if
ਕਾਂ ਚੁਨਾਂ ਜ਼ਰਇ ਬਾਰ-ਵਰ ਦਾਨਦ ।੧੧।
kaan chunaan zare baaravar daanad |11|
The field is ripe and grown but full of weeds and thorns. (11)
