Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਤ ॥

jal thal maheeal pooran har meet |

The Lord, our Friend, is totally pervading the water, the land and the skies.

ਭ੍ਰਮ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਗਾਏ ਗੁਣ ਨੀਤ ॥੧॥

bhram binase gaae gun neet |1|

Doubts are dispelled by continually singing the Lord's Glorious Praises. ||1||

ਊਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਹਰੂਆ ॥

aootthat sovat har sang paharooaa |

While rising up, and while lying down in sleep, the Lord is always with you, watching over you.

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਣਿ ਜਮ ਨਹੀ ਡਰੂਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jaa kai simaran jam nahee ddarooaa |1| rahaau |

Remembering Him in meditation, the fear of Death departs. ||1||Pause||

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥

charan kamal prabh ridai nivaas |

With God's Lotus Feet abiding in the heart,

ਸਗਲ ਦੂਖ ਕਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਾਸੁ ॥੨॥

sagal dookh kaa hoeaa naas |2|

all suffering comes to an end. ||2||

ਆਸਾ ਮਾਣੁ ਤਾਣੁ ਧਨੁ ਏਕ ॥

aasaa maan taan dhan ek |

The One Lord is my hope, honor, power and wealth.

ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਹ ਕੀ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਟੇਕ ॥੩॥

saache saah kee man meh ttek |3|

Within my mind is the Support of the True Banker. ||3||

ਮਹਾ ਗਰੀਬ ਜਨ ਸਾਧ ਅਨਾਥ ॥

mahaa gareeb jan saadh anaath |

I am the poorest and most helpless servant of the Holy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਦੇ ਹਾਥ ॥੪॥੮੫॥੧੫੪॥

naanak prabh raakhe de haath |4|85|154|

O Nanak, giving me His Hand, God has protected me. ||4||85||154||
