ਤੁਮ ਅਛਲ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਹਾਯੰ ।

tum achhal achhed abhed kahaayan |

You became known as impregnable, indiscriminate, and free of deception.

ਜਹਾ ਬੈਠਿ ਤਖਤ ਪਰ ਹੁਕਮ ਚਲਾਯੰ ।

jahaa baitth takhat par hukam chalaayan |

And from Your celestial throne, passed Your commands.

ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਸਰਿ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਕੋਈ ।

tujh bin doosar avar na koee |

None other than You is our protector.

ਤੁਮ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਸੋਈ ।

tum eko ek niranjan soee |

You are the only impeccable,

ਓਅੰਕਾਰ ਧਰਿ ਖੇਲ ਰਚਾਯੰ ।

oankaar dhar khel rachaayan |

Who, as the saviour of all, inaugurates the temporal play,

ਤੁਮ ਆਪ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਗੁਪਤ ਰਹਾਯੰ ।

tum aap agochar gupat rahaayan |

And You, Yourself, remain absolute and latent,

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਖੇਲ ਅਗਮ ਨਿਰਧਾਰੇ ।

prabh tumaraa khel agam niradhaare |

But Your unaccessible play persists with determination,

ਤੁਮ ਸਭ ਘਟ ਭੀਤਰ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਨ︀ਯਾਰੇ ।

tum sabh ghatt bheetar sabh te nayaare |

And, in a unique way, You sojourn all the hearts.

ਤੁਮ ਐਸਾ ਅਚਰਜ ਖੇਲ ਬਨਾਇਓ ।

tum aisaa acharaj khel banaaeo |

This way You produce a marvellous play,

ਜਿਹ ਲਖ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਕੋ ਧਾਰਿ ਖਪਾਇਓ ।

jih lakh brahamandd ko dhaar khapaaeo |

In which You absorb hundreds of thousands of universes.

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਮਰਮੁ ਨ ਕਿਨਹੂ ਲਖਿਓ ।

prabh tumaraa maram na kinahoo lakhio |

But without pondering over You, none will be consumed.

ਜਹ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਝੂਠੇ ਧੰਦੇ ਖਪਿਓ ।

jeh sabh jag jhootthe dhande khapio |

Only those get deliverance, who rely on You.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੇ ਛੁਟੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ।

bin simaran te chhuttai na koee |

Destitute Gurdas is Your disciple,

ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਭਜੈ ਸੁ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਹੋਈ ।

tum ko bhajai su mukataa hoee |

And with penance and asceticism he seeks Your comfort.

ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਗਰੀਬ ਤੁਮਨ ਕਾ ਚੇਲਾ ।

guradaas gareeb tuman kaa chelaa |

Bless him, forgive his errors and omissions,

ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਤੁਮ ਕਉ ਭਇਓ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ।

jap jap tum kau bheo suhelaa |

By accepting slave Gurdas, as Your own.

ਇਹ ਭੂਲ ਚੂਕ ਸਭ ਬਖਸ ਕਰੀਜੈ ।

eih bhool chook sabh bakhas kareejai |

ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਅਪਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਜੈ ।

guradaas gulaam apanaa kar leejai |

ਇਉਂ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ ।

eiaun kar hai guradaas pukaaraa |

And thus exclaimed Gurdas;

ਹੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੁਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਾ ।੨੬।

he satigur muhi lehu ubaaraa |26|

O my True Guru, you grant me redemption.
