ਜੋ ਇਨ ਐਸੀ ਕਹੀ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਯੌ ਕਹਿਯੌ ਹੋ ਰੀ ॥
jo in aisee kahee bateeyaa tab hee uh gvaaran yau kahiyau ho ree |
ਜਉ ਹਮ ਬਾਤ ਕਹੀ ਚਲੀਯੈ ਤੂ ਕਹੈ ਹਮ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੀ ਛੋਰੀ ॥
jau ham baat kahee chaleeyai too kahai ham sayaam so preet hee chhoree |
When Radha said thus, then the gopi replied, “O Radha! when I asked you to go, you said this that you do not even love Krishna
ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਸੋ ਮਾਈ ਕਹਾ ਕਹੀਯੈ ਇਹ ਸਾਥ ਕਰੇ ਹਿਤਵਾ ਬਰ ਜੋਰੀ ॥
sayaam so maaee kahaa kaheeyai ih saath kare hitavaa bar joree |
“O my mother, what should I say? Krishna is forcibly exhibiting his love for her and is sending us to her
ਭੇਜਤ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਇਹ ਪੈ ਇਹ ਸੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੇ ਪਹਿ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਥੋਰੀ ॥੭੨੧॥
bhejat hai ham ko ih pai ih see tih ke peh gvaaran thoree |721|
Is Krishna short of gopis like her?721.
ਭੇਜਤ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਪੈ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਇਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਰੂਪ ਕੋ ਮਾਨ ਕਰੈ ॥
bhejat hai ih pai ham ko ih gvaaran roop ko maan karai |
“He sends us to her and she is egoistic about her beauty
ਇਹ ਜਾਨਤ ਵੈ ਘਟ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਹਠ ਬਾਧਿ ਰਹੀ ਨ ਟਰੈ ॥
eih jaanat vai ghatt hai ham te tih te hatth baadh rahee na ttarai |
She also knows that all other gopis do not equal her in beauty, therefore she is persistent in her attitude”
ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਪਿਖੋ ਇਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਕੋਪ ਤੇ ਪੈ ਨ ਡਰੈ ॥
kab sayaam pikho ih gvaaran kee mat sayaam ke kop te pai na ddarai |
ਤਿਹ ਸੋ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ਕਹਾ ਕਹੀਯੈ ਤਿਹ ਲ︀ਯਾਵਹੁ ਯੋ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਉਚਰੈ ॥੭੨੨॥
tih so bal jaau kahaa kaheeyai tih layaavahu yo mukh te ucharai |722|
The poet Shyam says that this gopi (Radha) does not fear even slightly from Krishna, he is a sacrifice on her boldness when she says that Krishna be brought before her.722.
ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਰੈ ਸਖੀ ਅਉਰ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਤਬੈ ਇਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਭੂਲ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥
sayaam karai sakhee aaur so preet tabai ih gvaaran bhool pachhaanai |
“Krishna loves someone else, this gopi has no comprehension about it
ਵਾ ਕੇ ਕੀਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਰੀ ਸਜਨੀ ਸੁ ਰਹੀ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨਹੀ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
vaa ke kee bin ree sajanee su rahee keh kai su kahiyo nahee maanai |
Without any words from him, she continues to say this and is not submitting to his wishes
ਯਾ ਕੋ ਬਿਸਾਰ ਡਰੈ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਕੋ ਫਲੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
yaa ko bisaar ddarai man te tab hee ih maaneh ko fal jaanai |
“When Krishna will forget her, then she will know the reward of such persistence and in the end, feeling embarrassed, she will conciliate him
ਅੰਤ ਖਿਸਾਇ ਘਨੀ ਅਕੁਲਾਇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਮਾਨੈ ਤੁ ਮਾਨੈ ॥੭੨੩॥
ant khisaae ghanee akulaae kahiyo tab hee ih maanai tu maanai |723|
At that time, nothing can be said, whether he will accede to her request or not.”723.
ਯੋ ਸੁਨ ਕੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨ ਸੁਤਾ ਤਿਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਕੋ ਇਮ ਉਤਰ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
yo sun kai brikhabhaan sutaa tih gvaaran ko im utar deeno |
ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਭਗਾ ਸੰਗ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਹੂੰ ਅਸ ਮਾਨ ਸੁ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
preet karee har chandrabhagaa sang tau ham hoon as maan su keeno |
Hearing this, Radha replied to her, “Krishna is absorbed in love with Chandarbhaga, therefore, I have shown my disrespect for him
ਤਉ ਸਜਨੀ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਰੂਠ ਰਹੀ ਅਤਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਢਿਯੋ ਹਮਰੇ ਜਬ ਜੀ ਨੋ ॥
tau sajanee kahiyo rootth rahee at krodh badtiyo hamare jab jee no |
“On this, you have said so much, therefore my anger increased
ਤੇਰੇ ਕਹੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਆਗੇ ਹੂੰ ਮੋ ਹੂ ਸੋ ਨੇਹੁ ਬਿਦਾ ਕਰ ਦੀਨੋ ॥੭੨੪॥
tere kahe bin ree har aage hoon mo hoo so nehu bidaa kar deeno |724|
On your request, I loved Krishna an now he has abandoned his love with me.”724.
ਯੋ ਕਹਿ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਸੋ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
yo keh gvaaran so bateeyaa kab sayaam kahai fir aise kahiyo hai |
ਜਾਹਿ ਰੀ ਕਾਹੇ ਕੋ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਤੇਰੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਮੈ ਸਹਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
jaeh ree kaahe ko baitthee hai gvaaran tero kahiyo at hee mai sahiyo hai |
Saying thus to the gopi, Radha added, “O gopi! you may go, I have endured your words very much
ਬਾਤ ਕਹੀ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਰਸ ਕੀ ਤੁਹਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਨ ਸੋ ਸਖੀ ਚਿਤ ਚਹਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
baat kahee at hee ras kee tuhi taa ko na so sakhee chit chahiyo hai |
“You have talked many things about the love-passion and pleasure, which I did not like in my mind
ਤਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਹਉ ਨ ਚਲੋ ਸਜਨੀ ਹਮ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੋ ਰਸ ਕਉਨ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥੭੨੫॥
taahee te hau na chalo sajanee ham so har so ras kaun rahiyo hai |725|
O friend! I therefore, shall not go to Krishna, because there is no love left now between me and Krishna.”725.
ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਉਤਰ ਦੇਤ ਭਈ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਹਿਤ ਕੇਰੋ ॥
yau sun utar det bhee kab sayaam kahai har ke hit kero |
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਤੇ ਯਾ ਪਹਿ ਆਇ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਮਨਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਅਤਿ ਝੇਰੋ ॥
kaanrah ke bheje te yaa peh aae kai kai kai manaavan ko at jhero |
Hearing this reply of Radha, the gopi said, talking in the interest of Krishna, “It is a very great botheration to come repeatedly and persuade her at the bidding of Krishna
ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਚਕੋਰ ਮਨੋ ਤ੍ਰਨ ਜੋ ਸੁਨ ਰੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਹੈ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੋ ॥
sayaam chakor mano tran jo sun ree ih bhaat kahai man mero |
ਤਾਹੀ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਸੁਨੋ ਸਸਿ ਸੋ ਮੁਖ ਦੇਖਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਹੈ ਰੀ ਤੇਰੋ ॥੭੨੬॥
taahee nihaar nihaar suno sas so mukh dekhat hvai hai ree tero |726|
“O Radha! my mind says that Krishna like a partridge is anxious to see your face like moon.”726.
