ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ ਸੁਣਿ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਸਿਖੁ ਸਦਾਇਆ ।

gur sikh sun gurasikh sikh sadaaeaa |

Having listened to the teaching of Guru,

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਸਿਖ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ।

gur sikhee gurasikh sikh sunaaeaa |

The Sikh of Guru has called other Sikhs.

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ ਸੁਣਿ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਉ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ।

gur sikh sun kar bhaau man vasaaeaa |

Adopting the teachings of the Guru,

ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਭਾਇਆ ।

gurasikhaa gur sikh gurasikh bhaaeaa |

The Sikh has recited the same to others.

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਸੰਗੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ।

gur sikh gurasikh sang mel milaaeaa |

The Sikhs of the Guru have liked the Sikhs and thus a Sikh has met the Sikhs.

ਚਉਪੜਿ ਸੋਲਹ ਸਾਰ ਜੁਗ ਜਿਣਿ ਆਇਆ ।੧੮।

The pair of the Guru and the disciple has conquered the world-game of oblong dice.
