ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਸਿਰੁ ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਨ ਨਿਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਚਰਣੀ ।

dhrig sir jo gur na nivai gur lagai na charanee |

Cursed is the head that bows not before the Guru and touches not his feet.

ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਲੋਇਣਿ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸ ਵਿਣੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਪਰ ਤਰਣੀ ।

dhrig loein gur daras vin vekhai par taranee |

Cursed are the eyes who instead of beholding the Guru behold another's wife.

ਧ੍ਰਿਗ ਸਰਵਣਿ ਉਪਦੇਸ ਵਿਣੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨ ਧਰਣੀ ।

dhrig saravan upades vin sun surat na dharanee |

Those ears are (also) cursed which do not listen to the sermon of the Guru and do not concentrate upon it'

ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜਿਹਬਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਵਿਣੁ ਹੋਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਮਰਣੀ ।

dhrig jihabaa gur sabad vin hor mantr simaranee |

Cursed is that tongue which recites • mantras other than the word of the Guru

ਵਿਣੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਹਥ ਪੈਰ ਹੋਰ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਕਰਣੀ ।

vin sevaa dhrig hath pair hor nihafal karanee |

Without service, cursed are the heads, and feet, and useless are other deeds.

ਪੀਰ ਮੁਰੀਦਾਂ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਸੁਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਰਣੀ ।੧੦।

peer mureedaan piraharree sukh satigur saranee |10|

The (true) love is there between the Sikh and the Guru and the real delight is there in the shelter of the Guru.
