ਚੋਟਨ ਲਗੇ ਰੋਹ ਮਨ ਆਨੋ ॥

chottan lage roh man aano |

She (the maid) was infuriated after getting severe beating.

ਜਾਇ ਸੈਯਦ ਸੋ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਯਰਾਨੋ ॥

jaae saiyad so kariyo yaraano |

She got involved herself with a Sayeed.

ਨਿਤ ਤਿਹ ਅਪਨੇ ਸਦਨ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥

nit tih apane sadan bulaavai |

She invited him to her house every day and

ਸਾਹੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਕੋ ਦਰਬੁ ਲੁਟਾਵੈ ॥੨॥

saahu triyaa ko darab luttaavai |2|

Started to plunder the wealth of the trader’ wife.(2)
