Maajh, Fifth Mehl:

ਆਉ ਸਾਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥

aau saajan sant meet piaare |

Come, dear friends, Saints and companions:

ਮਿਲਿ ਗਾਵਹ ਗੁਣ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥

mil gaavah gun agam apaare |

let us join together and sing the Glorious Praises of the Inaccessible and Infinite Lord.

ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਣਤ ਸਭੇ ਹੀ ਮੁਕਤੇ ਸੋ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਮ ਕੀਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

gaavat sunat sabhe hee mukate so dhiaaeeai jin ham kee jeeo |1|

Those who sing and hear these praises are liberated, so let us meditate on the One who created us. ||1||

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਜਾਵਹਿ ॥

janam janam ke kilabikh jaaveh |

The sins of countless incarnations depart,

ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦੇ ਸੇਈ ਫਲ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥

man chinde seee fal paaveh |

and we receive the fruits of the mind's desires.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸਭਸੁ ਕਉ ਦੀਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥

simar saahib so sach suaamee rijak sabhas kau dee jeeo |2|

So meditate on that Lord, our True Lord and Master, who gives sustenance to all. ||2||

ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥

naam japat sarab sukh paaeeai |

Chanting the Naam, all pleasures are obtained.

ਸਭੁ ਭਉ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥

sabh bhau binasai har har dhiaaeeai |

All fears are erased, meditating on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਜਿਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਸੋ ਪਾਰਗਿਰਾਮੀ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲੇ ਥੀਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

jin seviaa so paaragiraamee kaaraj sagale thee jeeo |3|

One who serves the Lord swims across to the other side, and all his affairs are resolved. ||3||

ਆਇ ਪਇਆ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥

aae peaa teree saranaaee |

I have come to Your Sanctuary;

ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਲੈਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥

jiau bhaavai tiau laihi milaaee |

if it pleases You, unite me with You.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੩੫॥

kar kirapaa prabh bhagatee laavahu sach naanak amrit pee jeeo |4|28|35|

Shower Your Mercy upon me, God; let me be committed to devotional worship. Nanak drinks in the Ambrosial Nectar of Truth. ||4||28||35||
