ਲਖ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਕਵਾਉ ਵਿਚਿ ਲਖ ਲਖ ਲਹਰਿ ਤਰੰਗ ਉਠੰਦੇ ।

lakh dareeaau kavaau vich lakh lakh lehar tarang utthande |

In the one word of the Lord lacs of rivers (of life) flow and lacs of waves come up in them.

ਇਕਸ ਲਹਰਿ ਤਰੰਗ ਵਿਚਿ ਲਖ ਲਖ ਲਖ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਵਹੰਦੇ ।

eikas lehar tarang vich lakh lakh lakh dareeaau vahande |

In His one wave again, lacs of rivers (of life) flow.

ਇਕਸ ਇਕਸ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਵਿਚਿ ਲਖ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਅਕਾਰ ਫਿਰੰਦੇ ।

eikas ikas dareeaau vich lakh avataar akaar firande |

In each river, in the form of incarnations, lacs of jivs assuming many forms are roaming about.

ਮਛ ਕਛ ਮਰਿਜੀਵੜੇ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹ ਨ ਹਾਥਿ ਲਹੰਦੇ ।

machh kachh marijeevarre agam athaah na haath lahande |

Incarnations in the form of fish and tortoise dive into it but they cannot fathom its depth, i.e. they cannot know the limits of that supreme reality.

ਪਰਵਦਗਾਰ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰ ਨ ਲਹਨਿ ਤਰੰਦੇ ।

paravadagaar apaar hai paaraavaar na lehan tarande |

That sustainer Lord is beyond all limits; none can know the bounds of his waves.

ਅਜਰਾਵਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਿਖ ਅਜਰੁ ਜਰੰਦੇ ।

ajaraavar satigur purakh guramat gur sikh ajar jarande |

That true Guru is the excellent purus and the disciples of the Guru bear the unbearable, through the wisdom of the Guru (gurmat).

ਕਰਨਿ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ।੧੫।
